Holiday Return Policy
To better serve our customers, C.E. Townsend’s Mercantile & Exchange has extended its return policy for the holiday season.
- Purchases made between October 6, 2024, and December 24, 2024, may be returned through January 25, 2025.
- Our normal return policy will apply to all purchases made beginning December 26, 2024.
Items Purchased In Stores
You may return merchandise purchased in-store to any open Townsend’s Mercantile & Exchange location within 30 days of purchase.
- Our return policies are always subject to local, state, and federal restrictions.
- All other terms of our standard Return Policy apply.
Standard Return Policy
To receive a refund or exchange, items must be returned in their original condition. Original condition means the item is not damaged or altered and is returned with all hangtags and original packaging where possible. Any item not meeting the condition standards of this policy will be returned at the customer’s expense.
Returns with a receipt received outside the return timeframe may qualify for a merchandise credit. This credit is redeemable in-store at any C.E. Townsend’s location.
Returns without a receipt will receive a non-transferable merchandise credit. A valid government-issued photo ID, name, address, and signature will be required for the merchandise credit to be issued and may also be required to redeem it. The name printed on the merchandise credit must match the name on the photo ID presented at the time of redemption. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, please return merchandise accompanied by a register receipt within 30 days of purchase for an exchange or refund. Returns with receipts over 30 days or without a receipt (but otherwise eligible for return) will receive store credit only. Gift receipts are valid for store credit only. Merchandise that is used or in unsellable condition will not be accepted for refund, store credit, or exchange. Other restrictions may apply.
Returns may also be limited or declined based upon our refund verification system, which is used to process and track returns to help administer our loss prevention program.
A valid government-issued photo ID, name, address, and signature are required for returns without a valid receipt or gift receipt.
